Landform

A material-forward shelving unit and complementary series of accessories imbued with a natural aura.

Stratum

Stratum is a shelving unit composed of four layers of bent plywood and three legs made of aluminum. The layers are the same as the ones built up over millions of years of sediment deposit that show on cliff faces.

Sink

Sink is a ‘cast’ mycelium tray that erodes as objects are dropped repeatedly into it. The original form is relatively smooth, but as time goes on, the cracks and bumps more closely resemble a natural sinkhole.

Fault

Fault is a pair of mycelium bookends made of ‘cast’ mycelium. Grown in one piece, Fault is split in half to create the two separate pieces. The perforated line in the middle mimics the irregulaties of natural faults.

Shoal

Shoal is a combination tray and paperweight made from aluminum. The three lines on top are two shorelines and the bank between them while the curves in the middle are the separating bodies of water.

Karst

Karst is a flat-packed aluminum candle holder made of five pieces that slot together. The profile view mimcs the way the protrusions and layers of a natural karst create a rough grid.

Butte

Butte is an aluminum planter with two levels for soil; the bottom level serves as the ground and forest below, and the top level protrudes to emulate a natural butte.

Pond

Pond is an oak and polished aluminum combination tray and mirror. Undisturbed, pond works like any other small mirror, but the user can create islands and debris by placing their miscellany on the surface to mimic ripples caused by natural disturbances.
